THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN BECOMING A SPONSOR
The sport of wrestling is the oldest sport in history and has the unique ability to be both an individual sport but also a team effort. This dynamic has made the sport a close-knit community that many long-time wrestlers consider family. Much like a family who encourages and supports its members in their individual endeavors they also come together for common goals; this was how our team saying of “Once and Allstar, always an Allstar” was born. To this day Allstar Alumni can be found cheering on the newest generation of wresters through support on our Facebook page and all throughout the community.
“Hard Work and Discipline”
The Bethel Allstars Junior Wrestling Club, is a youth wrestling program dedicated to teaching youth in the Graham & Spanaway communities’ lifelong skills such as work ethic, leadership, perseverance. Establish back in 1970, chances are if you have spent some time in the Graham/Spanaway area you know someone who was an Allstar or has a child who was an Allstar.
We won’t bore you with endless studies and lengthy list of benefits of youth sports program; one quick Google search will give you endless pages to scroll on that topic. However, we do want to share with you about our program and how we operate.
Bethel Allstar’s motto “Hard Work and Discipline,” when you ask our Head Coach John Gates why that stuck with him since he was a Bethel Allstar youth wrestler back in the 90’s. He’ll tell you “Because it can breed success, emotional control, and self-confidence”. Our organization believes it is so important to practice this in everything we do; as the endeavor to be proficient in wrestling takes time, hard work, and dedication. Not only in wrestling but this can be applied to any meaningful pursuit in life, thus why all our team singlets proudly display “Hard Work and Discipline” on their back.
Now that we have told you a little about ourselves, we hope we can count on your support. Bethel Allstars Junior Wrestling Program is a Federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit supported by a 100% volunteered staff. All donations are considered Charitable donations and 100% feed directly back into the program to support replacement of worn and aging equipment, new uniforms, warmups, computing equipment for tournament facilitation. Currently our program utilizes local school facilities and wrestling mats, our ultimate goal is to one day have enough funds to have our own facility and wrestling mats.
