Johnny Gates - Head Coach and Club Director
His passion for the sport of Wrestling started at a young age as a Bethel Allstar. The motto of "Hard Work & Discipline" was something that always stuck with Johnny, if you ask him why he'll tell you "because it can breed success, emotional control, and self confidence". For Johnny the wrestling community is family and the endeavor to be proficient in wrestling takes time, hard work, and dedication which he relates to any meaningful pursuit in life. Our team saying "Once an Allstar, always an Allstar" carries true weight with Johnny as he continues the legacy that was passed down to him by Marty Plumb Bethel Allstars Head Coach and Club Director 1987-2020. Johnny loves the time he spends coaching and giving back to the next generation of Wrestlers. He will always strive to build a team environment that will foster growth and development while building lifelong bonds between teammates.
