COMMUNICATION EMAILS
12/3/17: Sent to all parents of registered wrestlers:
Thank you for your patience! There have been some adjustments to the challenge list tomorrow due to me not listing the entire bracket on Facebook (sorry - oops) and some wrestlers not making weight at round robins. I apologize about the late notice.
A couple reminders - those challenging/being challenged need to wear a singlet to practice to challenge in.
JV and Varsity need to be beaten twice to lose their spot.
Please note that some of our wrestlers might not be eligible to participate in sub-divisions due to not having enough weights on file. Vital statistics are due to the League on Tuesday 12/12.
Per PCJWL by-laws (available at https://pcjwl.weebly.com/by-laws.html bottom of page 8)
"Section B: Qualification for the subdivision tournament requires each participant to weigh in at least three (3) times at a sanctioned Round Robin Meet or dual team match. A wrestler also must compete in the weight class at subdivision that they have weighed in for one-half or more of the scheduled dual matches and/or Round Robin Meets."
Here is who is challenging tomorrow. The underlined are the "challengers," the bold are the JV and Varsity. After the 2nd set of challenges is complete, we will send out the finalized list.
NAMES HAVE BEEN REMOVED TO PROTECT THE PRIVACY OF THE WRESTLERS. Please refer to your email or Facebook. Once again, thank you for your patience. See you tomorrow!

10/29/17: Sent to all parents of registered wrestlers:
Good afternoon parents!
We are looking forward to a great season! Just a friendly reminder, there is NO practice on Halloween! There is a lot of information in this email, so please read through it thoroughly.
STATUS UPDATE:
First and foremost, please join our Bethel Allstars Parent Page on Facebook. We will update parents through Facebook and our website. We will always refer you to the website if information is posted on the website. We will send out email on occasion. Our round robin this weekend is at Franklin Pierce. Once we have the flyer we will post on our website and Facebook.
PARENT MEETING:
We will be having a parent meeting on Monday and Wednesday at 6:30pm to go over round robin information - what to expect, basic ref calls, etc for new parents.
SINGLETS:
We are issuing singlets for the season. There are 4 things that need to happen in order for us to issue a singlet:
1) You must register online - you have all done this - thank you! Sign-ups will close Thursday morning.
2) You must submit a copy of your child's USA card (in person, not via email - I am using my personal printer)
3) You must submit a copy of your child's birth certificate. I have most returner's birth certificates. Please see below for birth certificates needed.
4) You must pay.
Please be aware that with late registration and late collection of items, singlets are being issued to those that have completed items first. Over the past several years, not all the singlets have been turned in (no one's fault), therefore we are short almost half of our 4xs singlets. We will have some older 4xs singlets that we will issue after the newer ones are gone, then we will issue 3xs singlets to those that should be in 4xs singlets. Unfortunately, we have not been able to order more 4xs singlets because we have multiple people that have not fully registered and we could not assume that they were going to. We will assess the singlet situation again once all singlets have been issued. Please understand, the singlet issue was a surprise to everyone on the board and not a problem we were anticipating dealing with.
All items must be complete (except birth certificates which are due sooner) by Thursday night at 6:30pm to receive your singlet. If everything is not complete on Thursday night, your child will not wrestle on Saturday 11/4. We will not be handing singlets on Saturday morning at the round robin.
REGISTRATION UPDATES:
USA CARDS: These are due Thursday night. If they are not turned in, your child will not be able to practice with the team again until we receive it. This is our insurance policy. We are a USA sanctioned club and have committed that our wrestlers have their USA cards. If you are having trouble figuring out how to get the card, you must create a profile for yourself first and then your child.
USA COACHES CARDS: All of our coaches have/must have USA cards. If you are interested in helping out on the mat or coaching, you must get this card. It requires a background check and safe sport certification which takes about 2 hours.
BIRTH CERTIFICATES: Birth certificates must be turned in by the end of practice on Wednesday 11/1. We have to turn them in to the League 11/2 - no exceptions. We are missing the birth certificates from these registered kids:
Not posting names on the website – refer to your email.
If you know anyone that still needs to sign up, please remind them to sign up by Wednesday. We will be closing online sign-ups Thursday morning as this list must be complete and sent to the League by Thursday evening.
SCHOOL ATTENDING:
We did not ask for your child's school in the sign-up's. We need to submit this to the League as well. We will be asking the kids what school they attend when we do weigh-ins this week. Please feel free to find Sarah or Jodi and let us know as well.
COACH VS. REFEREE
Lastly, Marty has been announcing the difference between being a referee and coach at the edge of the mat during live wrestling. We need parents at the edge of the mat to make sure the kids do not fall off, stop matches, stop bad moves that could injure a child, etc. These parents are not coaches and cannot be coaching their child individually (insurance issues). If you want to discuss moves with your child after practice, please do so. If you are a coach and want to coach, we need you on the mat to coach all the kids.
Thank you!
